TOKYO, Japan - As passersby watch, plainclothesmen check the scene near Tokyo's JR Shimbashi Station where a gang war broke out among knife-wielding, tear-gas-spraying rival gangsters late night Aug. 28. Police said four gangsters were injured with stabbing wounds in the night melee that involved some 53 gangsters from two rival factions of the Kokusuikai mob group.
